Incarcerated dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel and his co-convicts appeal trial is less than five months away and his lawyers are confident of successful trial and overturning the life sentences.
The “Fever” deejay’s legal team is to prove that he “did not get a fair trial”.
According to Valerie Neita Robertson, “The appeal is progressing pretty well, we have seen some delays, but don’t worry about that, that is on the management and administrative side, but other than that, things are progressing well. We have certain things to do within a prescribed time and it will be done.”

Speaking on Kartel’s chances, Robertson added, “We don’t want to brag, we are working assiduously on the appeal, we are being very detailed in what we argue before the court to substantiate our claim that Kartel didn’t get a fair trial.”
The appeal hearing for Vybz Kartel and his co-accused is set for February 19, 2018.
