Vybz Kartel Beenie Man King Dancehall

The verbal battle over who is the true ‘King of the Dancehall’ seems to have no end in sight.

Beenie Man has once again taken another shot at Vybz Kartel over claims to the ‘King of the Dancehall’ title.

The veteran deejay took to Instagram recently to throw yet another jab at the Worl Boss, claiming he is the one true King.

On Tuesday Beenie sent tongues wagging after he posted a photo of his recent performance in Costa Rica.

The ONLY other KING ah KingJammy. #OneKing#kingbeenieman#BeenieMan#MosesDavis 🙏🏾🙌#GodBless,” he captioned the post.

Beenie would also double down on his claim to the throne by adding, “Mi nuh affi boast bout Mobos or grammy. My joy affi know the FANS waan hear from mi”. Costa Rica it was a joy.”

However, it seems not all fans agree with the “Girls Dem Sugar” deejay.

“AddiAdiKing and unno sing the rest a it fi mi..beenie man go check een a one a di old age home,” one fan declared.

Beenie’s sly caption is the latest jab in recent months, which fans say is directed towards Vybz Kartel. The two seemingly began feuding over the moniker after Vybz Kartel dropped his ‘King Of The Dancehall’ album in 2016.

Since then, both entertainers have dropped shades towards each other, but Beenie being the obvious aggressor.

The ‘King of the Dancehall’ title has been a source of much debate among fans over the years. While many still see Beenie Man as the rightful ruler of the throne there are others who argue Kartel has long eclipsed him.

Beenie Man infamously dropped a track of the same name back in 2004, declaring himself Dancehall royalty. However, the deejay has always been quick to point out that the title was one given by fans and not self-proclamation.
