Dancehall entertainer Alkaline will be spending the weekend in Police custody.

Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay, head of the police Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) confirmed on Friday evening that Police have wrapped up their questioning of Bartley, however he will remain in custody at this time.

No Charges have been laid against the “Badness It Name” deejay, his attorney, Peter Champagnie says he will file to have the Vendetta deejay released on Monday.

The 23-year-old “Champion Boy” hit maker, real name Earlan Bartley reported to the Area 4 Headquarters, Harman Barracks in Vineyard Town, Kingston Thursday morning. Alkaline was then transferred to the Criminal Investigation Branch headquarters shortly after midday and has since completed multiple rounds of questioning as cops continue to probe the murder of Rohan “Head” Morris.

On Tuesday the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) released a statement saying Alkaline was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Morris as cops believe the deejay can assist with the investigation. 28-year-old Morris was shot more than 15 times at his home in Oaks Garden, St Andrew last month allegedly beside his 5-year-old daughter.
