Popular Dancehall entertainer Alkaline will spend Thursday night in police custody after reporting to the Area 4 Headquarters, Harman Barracks in Vineyard Town, Kingston on Thursdays with his attorney Peter Champagnie.

The “Badness It Name” deejay was transferred to the Criminal Investigation Branch headquarters on Thursday and has since completed two rounds of questioning.

Stephanie Lindsay, Head of the Corporate Communication Unit (CCU) says Alkaline, real name Earlan Bartley will resume questioning on Friday as cops continue to investigate the murder of Rohan “Head” Morris.

On Tuesday the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) released a statement saying Alkaline was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Morris as cops believe the deejay can assist with the investigation. 28-year-old Morris was shot more than 15 times at his home in Oaks Garden, St Andrew last month allegedly beside his 5-year-old daughter.
