Cordel ‘Skatta’ Burrell is not here for the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) after receiving a series of hefty electricity bills.

The Downsound records producer uploaded a video Thursday showing his latest JPS bills which range from over JMD $40,000 to $53,000.

“JPS wicked dem wicked dem wicked,” Skatta Burrell can be heard singing over the video.

“Poor Man’s cry. dutty #jps mi cyaa keep up. I DON’T HAVE A RECORDING STUDIO AT MY HOUSE LIKE @dalevirgo @shadyvillemusic @bulbyyork @badgyalcecile … I don’t even watch tv,” he captioned the video.

Since the start of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic several Jamaicans have been complaining about receiving large bills from the light and power company.

However despite the outrage over complaints of skyrocketing electricity charges, the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) has denied that its billing system is defective.
