Classes at the St Jago High School in Rivoli, St Catherine were suspended on Thursday after an alleged shooting incident on the campus.
According to reports, hundreds of students huddled down in the auditorium after armed men fired shots on the compound about 11:00 am.
Superintendent Beau Rigby, who is in charge of St Catherine North division, where the school is located, said criminal elements were reportedly on the compound.
