The Tropixs (Kingston, Jamaica) – Shenseea continues to gain admirers in high places both locally and internationally after Nicki Minaj’s mom gifted her a new wig.
It seems the “Shen Yeng Anthem” deejay is not only favored locally but also internationally, as she was recently paid a very special visit from Carol Maraj, the mother of rapper Nicki Minaj.
Maraj, who is the owner of Elegantly Carol collections, a company that specializes in women’s wigs, dropped by the Dancehall superstar to gift her with a wig from her collection.
“It’s banging, this color is crazy,” Shenseea expressed while showing off the twelve inched apple red, body wave styled wig in a short video clip. The Dancehall superstar would go on to thank the rapper’s mom while encouraging fans to get the wig as well.
Since her breakout Shenseea has become somewhat renown for her unique hairstyles, frequently sporting some crazy bright coloured wigs to go along with her skin-tight revealing outfits.
In recent Months some Dancehall fans had accused Nicki Minaj of ripping off Shenseea’s “Ratatata” sound used in the intro of “Blessed” after the rapper used a similar sample in her hit single “Megatron”
However, it seems the issue has left no bad blood between the two with sources close to Shenseea’s camp revealing that the deejay has tremendous respect for the international superstar.
Shenseaa has emerged as one of the most popular female acts in Dancehall currently, with over 1.8 million followers on Instagram and boasting a slew of hit singles including “Loodi,” “Trending Gyal,” “Tie Me Up,” and “Blessed.”
