R. Kelly has been kicked out of his alleged “sex-cult” mansion.

According to reports, the 51-year-old singer was kicked out of his Duluth mansion earlier this week after he allegedly failed to pay $23,084.90 in back rent and $2,308.49 in late fees. The publication reports that the hefty amount was accumulated in only two months.

Sources said the residence appeared to be abandoned when the eviction notice was served on Tuesday, as no one was inside the mansion and the rooms were considerably bare. A source also said Kelly’s financial situation took a major hit last year after he was accused of leading a sex cult inside the very home he was recently evicted from.

Back in July of last year, the singer was accused of holding multiple women against their will inside the Duluth mansion. Although Kelly and some of his alleged captives have publicly denied these allegations, the women’s family members said they are convinced the singer has brainwashed them.

“Mr. Robert Kelly is both alarmed and disturbed at the recent revelations attributed to him,” Kelly’s attorney, Linda S. Mensch, said in a statement obtained by the Los Angeles Times. “Mr. Kelly unequivocally denies such allegations and will work diligently and forcibly to pursue his accusers and clear his name.”

Though Kelly has not been charged with any crime related to the “sex cult” claims, the scandal has reportedly resulted in several show cancellations and decreased ticket sales. This, of course, might explain why Kelly has failed to pay his rent.

The Duluth home also made headlines last December when it was burglarized by Alfonso Walker, one of Kelly’s associates. According to the Daily Mail, the owner of the home has reportedly asked the judge to put a hold on the insurance money Kelly will receive until the rent dispute is resolved.

The owner of the home is expected to file criminal charges against Kelly over damages done to the property.
