Popcaan is already rehearsing for his highly anticipated virtual concert in collaboration with Boiler Room, dubbed “Popcaan & Friends: Fixtape Live”.
The event set for the Sunday (November 29) and will start at 5:00 pm, “Boiler Room presents the first-ever full live show for Popcaan’s new project FIXTAPE, direct from a historic site in Jamaica,” the concert description read online. “New music played for the first time, a run of all-time career classics & an entourage of special guests— live for one night only.”
Tickets for “Popcaan & Friends: Fixtape Live” are now on sale for US$12.50. Popcaan made the announcement via Instagram when he uploaded a flyer and urged fans to go purchase their tickets, “Go Get Your Tickets Now Link In My Bio Unruly Etc Etc Etc,” he wrote.
In his latest update, the Unruly Boss can be seen in a studio rehearsing for the big show, “Life a the greatest @boilerroomtv this sunday🔥🔥,” he wrote.
FIXTAPE is the fourth studio album by Popcaan. It was released on 7 August 2020 via OVO Sound and Warner Records. Production was handled by several record producers, including Boi-1da, London on da Track, Nineteen85, Noel Cadastre and Popcaan himself.
The project features guest appearances from Drake, Dane Ray, Frahcess One, French Montana, Jada Kingdom, Masicka, PartyNextDoor, Preme, Stylo G and Tommy Lee.
FIXTAPE debuted at number 2 on the Billboard Reggae Albums sales chart. It peaked at number 15 on the Canadian Albums Chart and at number 94 on the Billboard 200. It was promoted by three singles: “Mamakita”, “Buzz” and “Twist & Turn”, the latter peaking at number 47 on the Canadian Hot 100 and at number 69 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.
