A police officer shot and killed a man during a alleged confrontation along Charles Street in downtown Kingston on Thursday morning.
According to police reports, the officer was attacked by two men while walking along Charles street at approximately 10 am.
A physical confrontation reportedly developed and at least one of the men reportedly brandished a firearm and fired several shots at the police officer.
Following a alleged shootout, one man was shot and killed, while the other managed to eascape.
