2020 was a year filled with many depressing moments but Dancehall fans used music to ease the stress.

It was a year dominated by the global COVID 19 pandemic but fans were treated to a number of hits songs. To judge their popularity we took a look at one of the most common streaming platforms, Youtube.

Some of the biggest winners on the platform included Koffee, Teejay, Shenseea Alkaline, and several others.

Koffee claimed top spot with her smash hit Lockdown, which registered over 38 million views. The track quickly became the go-to quarantine anthem for Dancehall lovers with its fun and infectious melody and beat.

Claiming the second spot is Shenseea who scored big with her collaboration Lighter,with singer Tarrus Riley. The Rvssian produced track resonated well with fans, ending the calendar year with over 34 million views.

Alkaline claimed third spot with his smash hit Ocean Wave, which clocked up an impressive 11.5 million views.

The Sparta King Tommy Lee’s high energy track Under Vibes was good enough to earn the No.4 spot. The track has over 9.5 million views making it one of his biggest hits to date.

It was also a great year for fellow Montego Bay deejay, Teejay, whose Rags to Riches earned him the fifth spot. The Damage Music produced track racked up over 8.4 million views, making it one of his biggest hits to date.

Claiming the sixth spot was Govana with his hilarious HAMATS Convo while Popcaan earned seventh with Numbers Dont Lie. Dexta Daps’ also scored big with the ladies with his popular track Call Me If.

Rounding out the top ten Alkaline with Cree and Shaneil Muir, who scored big with Yamabella.
