Spice was in tears on Tuesday morning after the plane she was travelling in developed engine trouble during her flight back to Jamaica.
The ‘Queen of Dancehall’ took to social media to share how sad she was after the delay would result in her missing her son Nicholas’ Sports Day.
“I know safety comes first and I’m glad they detect the problem on the plane,” the ‘Needle Eye’ deejay wrote. “Still happy and giving God thanks that we land back safe don’t know what happen to the engine but they turn back in the middle of the flight and all I know I’m here crying like a baby because after all I’ve been through to make it to Jamaica. I’m still gonna miss my son sports day 😣😭😢. So SAD DON’T CARE WHO SEE MI A BAWL 😢.”
Fortunately Spice later returned to Instagram Tuesday night and gave a heart-warming update to her fans. According to the entertainer, whose given name is Grace Hamilton, she was able to get another flight and reached the Sports Day after her son’s first race.
“I missed the first race because of my flight but the way my son ran to me and the look on his face when he saw me changed the disappointment,” she wrote. “Thanks to every one who made me feel better about my flight this morning. I MADE IT AND GREEN HOUSE WON 🏆🏆🏆 #TeamNicholas [Popcaan] was there repping for red house but I told him he would lose 🤣. My son won two gold medal and one Silver. Love you Nicholas you have no idea what I’ve been through just to be here. Go papi go 🏆.”
