A Jamaica Defence Force Soldier and one armed gunman died in a gun battle in a barbershop along Half Way Tree Road in Kingston on Friday night.
According to reports, armed thugs invaded a barbershop along Half Way Tree at approximately 11pm, and proceeded to rob the occupants.
The soldier reportedly pulled his firearm and confronted the gunmen. He managed to kill one of the armed robbers but was reportedly shot dead by the other members of the group of thugs.
The gunmen reportedly stole the soldier’s firearm and made their escape.
