Vybz Kartel - The Tropixs

Vybz Kartel has a new banger under his belt.

The incarcerated Dancehall entertainer teams up with UK afrobeats singer Afro B for his latest release titled Shape Nice produced by Dreskull for Mixpak Records.

Bringing together the sounds & vocal styles of London, New York, Jamaica and Africa, the song is an encapsulation of the ever-present dialogue between afro-pop & dancehall.

Afro B is one of London’s rising stars, with his hit song “Drogba (Joanna)”, which took over London in 2018 and is now on playlist rotation on NY radio.

Meanwhile, Jamaican artiste Vybz Kartel continues to dominate dancehall, with an impressive career spanning decades and more hit songs than you can count. They are united by NY producer Dre Skull, known for his work with Popcaan, Kartel, Wizkid, Davido and more.

“Yuh got the black girl booty / Bubble like the brewery / Love is not a crime tell the jury / Whine for the fame for the money for the jewelry / Every man a watch yo how yuh do it / Bend yuh back now settle pon the block now,” Kartel deejays over the beat.
