The incarcerated Dancehall superstar was a notable absentee from last week’s opening hearing of his appeal case, and according to sources he has no plans to show up for the entire trial.
Sources close to to the Gaza camp have revealed that the deejay has actively decided not to make an appearance because he wants to avoid becoming a distraction to the courthouse due to the media spectacle.
They say the entertainer is quite aware of the high profile nature of the case and doesn’t want the media spectacle or his fans to distract the proceedings in the landmark appeal case.

Last week one of the entertainer’s attorneys, Valarie Neita-Robertson, revealed that the deejay had declined the opportunity to appear at the proceedings despite being offered the option.
According to Neita-Robertson, the entertainer has placed full confidence in his legal team and is just eager for the court to conclude his matter.
Vybz Kartel and three others, including fellow entertainer Shawn Storm, were convicted for the 2011 murder of Clive “Lizard” Williams.
