Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt is set to open his first Tracks & Records restaurant and lounge in London on October 10.

The track superstar and international icon will officially open his first venue for the Jamaican themed restaurant and late-night lounge in the United Kingdom this October after recently establishing several other chains in Jamaica.

According to the sprinter’s representatives, the flagship London venue will be the first of 15 restaurants to be opened all across the UK within the next five years.

“After much success with our Track & Records restaurants, we’re delighted to be opening in the UK. I believe this signifies the first time a local, home grown concept has evolved into becoming an International franchise and this further confirms brand Jamaica’s potential and gives us widespread hope that we can export many other Jamaican brands through this business model,” stated FRANJAM’s Managing Director Gary Matalon in a release.

The restaurant will seek to provide guest with an authentic taste of Jamaican food and culture, featuring some of the athlete’s favorite food including jerk chicken, fried fish, and bammy, as well as Caribbean spices.

The hotspot, which is described as a perfect mix of sports and entertainment, will also double as a lounge with the soundtrack of Reggae and Dancehall culture being provided by some of the UK’s top acts.

Bolt says it was very important that London was chosen as their first international location as the city is like a “second home” to him, as it holds a very place in his heart.

Earlier this year the track superstar made additions to his flagship Jamaican location in Kingston by opening franchises in Ocho Rios and Montego Bay.
