Spice has sought to address her recent fight with Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta cast member Akbar V.

Last month the Queen of Dancehall got into an altercation with Akbar V for mocking her Jamaican accent.

Spice has been trying to be on her best behaviour on this season of LHHATL however she won’t look past certain things, especially when it comes to disrespecting her country.

While some Dancehall fans were concerned that Spice’s fights on the popular VH1 docu-soap franchise could damage her brand, it seems to be working for the “Needle Eye” deejay.

Speaking on her beef with Akbar V, Spice said she thinks the rapper is threatened by her presence in Atlanta, “I think, like most women, she probably thinks I’m coming in Atlanta, in her space, to probably take over,” Spice said. “So she feels threatened by probably me and Tokyo Vanity being in Atlanta. I flew there to widen my fan base, so if something is gonna come in my way, I’m gonna feel offended but what I felt most offended about was when she tried to mock my Jamaican accent.”

Spice, whose given name is Grace Hamilton, said that issues like that ended up being good marketing for her when blogs repost the videos on Instagram and their websites. It is helping to get her name out there to a broader audience. Recently she became the first Jamaican artiste alive to clock 2 million followers on Instagram.
