Rihanna’s cousin was shot dead on Tuesday, 26 December, just hours after they spent Christmas Day together in Barbados.
Tavon Kaiseen Alleyne, 21, was walking in the St Michael’s area around 7pm on Boxing Day when he was shot by an unidentified man several times, Nation News reports.

Rihanna shared the devastating news on social media while calling for an end to crime and violence. “RIP cousin… can’t believe it was just last night that I held you in my arms! never thought that would be the last time I felt the warmth in your body!!! The ‘Work’ singer later shared a video of Alleyne which she captioned, “”It’s nice to wake up” Be grateful for life man. #RIPTavon @merka_95.”
