Recording artist QQ is getting some stuff off his chest.
On Thursday, the ‘One Drop’ deejay took to his Instagram account to send a heartfelt message to his fans and fellow entertainers.
“Round of applause, Round of applause. Nuff a dem a go want run in with them fake congratulations just take it all with a smile,” QQ, whose given name is Kareem Dawkins wrote.
“In this world a lot of people are misguided thinking dem need friend and company fi achieve them dreams but that’s when u lack confidence in yourself and your ability to do it. I been in this music industry 14/15 years now and I’ve always been alone me rate most of the artist dem but me still hold my own and maintain a composure cause all when ppl say yo QQ a 1 hit wonder me never listen, when dem say him sing fi woman only me never listen.
“When dem say him lips too red dawg me no listen, him whine up pon stage too much me never listen I just continue to believe inna myself and push just the same cause the greatest thing is when you reach the goal and know say you do that a you achieve this but dem a go run up and say dawg look how WE achieve it lol all French dem sound like dem a speak but guess what nuff time them words hurt you and tear you apart and you feel like you want fuck off with this evil industry but then the almighty come in the midst and remind you this is bigger than all of them and the only person you need to trust or be there with you through it all is him.”
