Popcaan is tooting his own horn these days.
The international recording artiste has declared himself a living legend in the Dancehall industry. Popcaan made the statement earlier this week on Instagram when he responded to a few Dancehall critics.
“To all who been supporting my music since 08, y’all done know I’m a winner, To all my fans since lately do your research and keep up #LIVINGLEGEND,” the ‘Unruly Boss’ wrote.
Popcaan has been really vocal on social media these days, last month he made it clear that he doesn’t want the same fate as his former mentor Vybz Kartel and Ninjaman when he wrote, “I don’t want to be no Don, I don’t want to be no general, the results for both of them is prison or funeral.. call me a GAD!!! #inviolable #unruly #876GAD.”
Popcaan has been one of the leading dancehall artistes over the past several years and has a strong presence on the international scene thanks to his affiliation with energy drink giants Red Bull, Canadian Rapper Drake, UK Emcees Giggs and Skepta.
A solid candidate for top five in the genre, however is Popcaan a living legend?
