Popular Dancehall artiste Alkaline will be spending the entire weekend in Police custody despite not being charged in the current investigation into the murder of Rohan “Head” Morris.

The “Champion Boy” hit maker, real name Earlan Bartley reported to the Area 4 Headquarters, Harman Barracks in Vineyard Town, Kingston Thursday morning, Alkaline’s question and answer sessions have been completed and investigators are now reviewing the materials relative to the murder case, to determine the next move.

The Vendetta deejay’s attorney, Peter Champagnie, says he’ll be going to court to secure his client’s release if he’s still held without charge on Monday.

On Tuesday the Criminal Investigation Branch of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) released a statement saying Alkaline was wanted for questioning in relation to the murder of Morris as cops believe the deejay can assist with the investigation. 28-year-old Morris was shot more than 15 times at his home in Oaks Garden, St Andrew last month allegedly beside his 5-year-old daughter.
