Camilleri, who is the former chairman of Philip Morris International and worth over £150 million (˜ $193 million), made headlines back in 2011 for his statement about smoking statistics. At the time, the millionaire was the head of the world’s second largest cigarette seller.
At a New York shareholders meeting, Camilleri famously said, “whilst it is addictive, it is not that hard to quit,” just two years after admitting he tried to quit smoking once, but it only lasted three months.
