A man accused of stealing a motorcar in Hanover was beaten to death Saturday morning.
The deceased has been identified as Levaughn Major. According to reports, about 7:20 am several residents of Flower Hill in the parish, formed a mob and stoned Major after he was accused of stealing a vehicle in the community.
Police say Major’s blood-soaked body was discovered, laying on his back, surrounded with stones, covered in blood after they were summoned.
He was rushed to the Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital where doctors pronounced him dead. The Hanover police are investigating the murder.
