Dancehall fans have reacted to Vybz Kartel losing his appeal case.

Dancehall fans have reacted to his appeal dismissal, with some lashing out against his attorneys on social media.

On Friday Dancehall fans took to social media blasting Kartel’s legal team after the appeal ruling. The verdict was live-streamed by the deejay’s senior attorney Valerie Neita-Robertson.

Initially, the comments of the fans tuned in were filled with optimism, however, this quickly changed. Fan’s reactions quickly turned to disbelief and anger after the ruling was handed down.

One fan was so upset he wrote, “a wah sumaddy shoot the BBC judge an all a uno.” Dancehall artiste Rygin King also joined saying “KMT,” while Sanjay posted multiple crying emoji’s.

Several other Dancehall stars also took to Instagram to post their reactions including Popcaan, Squash, and Spice.

Spice was one of the first to react saying, “Freedom is a must @vybzkartel Nuh worry Uself mi Don #Gazanation Forever 💙💙💙 #History day haffie come one day🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿 #FreeVybzKartel.”

The anger toward the attorney seems to have stemmed from her bold declarations before the ruling. On Thursday she took to Twitter hinting that the deejay would be a free man.

“I only ask one favor, tomorrow please celebrate at least 3 FT apart in your homes along with Other #covid-19 Stipulations. Don’t come on the streets #TanAhYuhYaad,” she declared.

Some fans were a bit more sympathetic as they expressed more concern for the deejay than anger. “Kartel gwaan wul it, jah know mi DJ” one fan sadly declared.

However, not all the fans tuned in were upset by the ruling as one fan declared “If yuh do di crime do di time mi g.”

Fans were in high spirits prior to the ruling, with many optimistic of a positive result.

Earlier this week Vybz Kartel expressed that he was “100 per cent sure” he would be freed. The entertainer made the declaration through his protege Sikka Rymes in an interview with THE STAR.
