Beenie Man has issued a public apology to the RJR communications group and its general manager Dr. Dennis Howard following several inflammatory statements made about the media boss during a recent weekly event in Kingston.

Last Tuesday the veteran Dancehall superstar called on fans to help him ‘kill’ the career of the RJR general manager, who he feels has been helping to limit the presence of Dancehall music on Jamaican radio.

The disgruntled deejay expressed his frustration at the fact that Dancehall was no longer in rotation via one of the company’s stations, HITZ 92 Fm. He went on to controversially call for Howard to be fired.

The RJR group has since hit back at the “Girls Dem Sugar” deejay, labeling his comments as deeply disturbing and offensive in nature, and called for an immediate retraction of the controversial statements.

According to RJR, They are prepared to support Dr. Howard with any legal support he requires and reveals that the matter has been brought to the attention of the police for security measures.

An apology has since been issued by the artist’s management team, calling the utterances “unfortunate”, insisting that was never any intent to threaten the well-being of Dr. Howard or anyone at the said organization.
