Barrington Levy has shared his virus and wants his fans to help him spread it across the world.
The veteran recording artiste sent shock waves across the Dancehall/Reggae fraternity earlier this month when he took to social media to reveal that he had a virus.
“I just want to tell you people that i have a virus…. i have a virus,” Levy said in the short clip uploaded to his Instagram account.
The video instantly sent tongues wagging as many Dancehall fans searched for answers however Barrington Levy was tight-lipped on the situation.
Days later, the Grammy nominated artiste broke his silence during an exclusive interview on his Clarendon-based Roses FM Radio station where he revealed that his virus was love and he had recorded a new song to promote it.
“I did not tell anybody that I have aids or any form of virus,” the singer said. “The virus that I have people have it twisted and they didn’t ask the question what type of virus… well they asked but I couldn’t answer because there were so many questions.”
Last week Barrington Levy returned to Instagram and gave fans a previous of his ‘virus’.
“This is it the #VIRUS I have so I want you all to help me spread this virus a cross the world can you Do it do you want to help ?,” he wrote.
