Controversial rapper Tekashi69 recently published a video of an emotional first meeting with long lost family members in Mexico, gifting them wads of cash.
The ‘Gummo’ rapper recently visited his aunt and uncle in Mexico during a stop in his touring schedule.
“It’s my first time in Mexico, I never met my family,” the rapper claimed. “This shit’s going to be f**king crazy.”
Tekashi69 was seen engaging in an emotional embrace with his aunt before gifting her thousands of dollars. “This sh*t broke my heart – connecting with family I never seen before, I’ve only spoken to,” he captioned the video.
According to the rapper, he never got to meet his family before as his mother was forced to leave Mexico to “make a better future” for her children.
“THIS right here hits home,” he added.
In a second video clip, the rainbow-haired rapper could be seen visiting his mother’s childhood school while dishes out US$100 bills to the children there.
“IT FELT AMAZING GIVING HOPE TO THESE KIDS,” he wrote. “Even if they didn’t really care for what I said, it felt so good seeing them happy and knowing that there’s always a way out and a way through!”
This year has proved to be a roller coaster one for the Hip Hop superstar as he has experienced a significant rise in his popularity but also endured several run-ins with the law.
Tekashi69 could be facing a potential prison time if convicted on child porn charges which he is currently facing.
