The Jamaican dollar lost 71 cents against the US dollar on Thursday as the currency ended trading at a record breaking low $131.22 JMD to $1 USD.
This is the very first time the US dollar has surpassed the $131 dollar mark.
Meanwhile, the British Pound Sterling closed at $172.97 from $172.62, while the Canadian dollar closed at $107.94 from $107.43.
