Five persons have been arrested and charged with breaches of the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transaction) (Special Provisions) and the Larceny Acts by detectives attached to the Major Organised-Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA).

The five individuals possession of identity information, distributing identity information, using an access device to transport money, and conspiracy to defraud, are:

Douglas Walker, otherwise called ‘Bobby’, of a Kingston 19 address

Nasha Rolle of a Kingston 19 address

Ortolan Powell of a Kingston 11 address

Travis Wilson, otherwise called ‘Happy Feet’

Romaine Barrett, otherwise called ‘Swift Pain’, of a Mona address

According to reports, the five individuals were detained on Monday, January 15, during an operation carried out by MOCA in sections of Kingston and St Andrew.

It is alleged that the hackers have robbed persons of millions of dollars via identity theft and other cyber-related means.

The accused are set to appear in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, January 25.
