Rygin King has emerged as one of the hottest names in the industry since his standout performance at Reggae Sumfest last month.

The deejay has been kept a busy man since his eye-catching performance at the recently concluded annual Reggae festival held in Montego Bay, with performances all across the island.

According to the deejay, he is proud to be the first Dancehall artiste to get that big break in the business outside Kingston, or without the help of any established artiste.

The deejay credits much of his early success down to pure determination and work rate, as he believes he put in the necessary groundwork in his hometown of Montego Bay that would allow him to be seen by Sumfest organizers.

The “Tuff” deejay revealed that he was so determined to perform on the Sumfest stage that visited their company offices two months before the event showing them his material and exactly what he had to offer.

The 23-year-old entertainer also took the opportunity to speak about his encounter with Nuffy while onstage saying fans shouldn’t read too deep into it as the MC was just doing his job while he was just trying to leave his mark on fans.

Rygin King also shared some words of encouragement for other young entertainers hoping to get the big break in the industry saying they should stay focused and stick to their craft and their opportunity will come.
