Shenseea says other female Dancehall artiste do not want to collaborate with her.

Dancehall fans often call for some of their favorite acts to collaborate more, but it seems it might be more complex than first thought.

According to Shenseea, she has tried to collaborate with multiple female artistes in the past only to be rebuffed. The “Lighter” star made the shocking revelation during a recent Q&A with fans on Instagram.

“Guys, it’s not that I don’t try to do collaborations enuh, especially with Jamaican artistes, it’s just dem nuh waan do none wid me, really and truly,” she said. “My manager has reached out to a lot of females, dem nuh waan do nuh song wid mi suh weh me fi do?”

Shenseea’s claims come weeks after it was rumoured that Spice turned down a collaboration with the deejay. This claim was made by Spice’s former friend, spiritual advisor Nardo ‘RT Boss’ Smith. However, Shenseea’s manager, Romeich Major did urge fans to leave his camp out of the then online drama.

Coincidently Shenseea has collaborated with a host of male counterparts over the years. Some of her most popular collaborations came with Vybz Kartel, Konshens, Tarrus Riley, Tommy Lee Sparta, Teejay, and others.

When pressed about potential features for her forthcoming album Shenseea instead encouraged fans to make suggestions. Some of the most popular included Jada Kingdom, Stefflon Don, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna and Mary J Blige.
