The Tropixs (Kingston, Jamaica) – Rihanna is Jamaican, according to users on social networking service Twitter.
Jamaicans snatched the Pop star from her native Barbados on Wednesday after Bajans allegedly trolled the country’s economy.
In the hilarious Rihanna is Jamaican tweets, users showcase ‘evidence’ on why the “Work” deejay is from the little island in the sun.
Jamaican Twitter claims Rihanna was born in St Ann, attended Westwood High School and is also related to Buju Banton. To support their argument, several photoshopped images were brought into play.
An image of Rihanna in parliament with PM Andrew Holness, crossing the road in Kingston, and even her alleged birth certificate has since gone viral.
In response, Bajans are now claiming the World’s fastest woman, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. “World Champion Outta Barbados,” one tweet read.
