Popcaan is hoping to leave some smiles on the faces on the children of his home parish St Thomas today.

The “Unruly Boss” is set to host his annual back-to-school treat and funday on Thursday at the Rudolf Elder Park in Morant Bay.

The event, which is organised by the deejay’s Popcaan Care Foundation, will play host to hundreds of children throughout the day, with the first 500 kids receiving a bag of school supplies.

“This event is very important to me. It’s a time I get to give to my people. The youth are the future, and we affi play our part in helping dem to be the best,” the deejay said.

The family deejay went on to say that “St Thomas a my place, and me know the struggles a lot of parents face this time of the year, so anything we can do, we ago dweet.”

Popcaan also revealed that he had a number of sponsors on board including Wisynco, LASCO, Bashco and Nestle, which will be providing refreshments for the kids and wellness check for their parents.

The treat will staged from 10 a.m. and 5 p.m.
