Popcaan is aiming for the skies with his new album “Forever,” as the deejay declared the project Grammy material.

The “Firm and Strong” deejay believes the project has the potential to go all the way following its release on July 20.

The album, which is the deejay’s sophomore effort, was one of the most highly anticipated projects by a dancehall artiste in recent times, especially after receiving a huge endorsement from Canadian rapper Drake.

According to Popcaan, the album is something totally different and a good look for Dancehall music. He revealed that he has been getting a lot of positive reviews from the project, with fans calling it his best work yet.

Hotel Hits Back At Popcaan Following Social Media Rant

Based upon the feedback the “Unruly” deejay says he is hopeful the effort can finally land him the coveted Grammy nomination he has been working towards over the years.

The album did not receive all positive reviews, however, as it was compared to ‘supermarket jerk chicken’ by UK news outlet The Guardian, who claim the deejay promised depth but failed to deliver.

Popcaan, however, revealed that the album is doing well on several international charts including Canada, the US, and the UK.
