American Production group The Neptunes have been cooking up something special in Jamaica.

The Duo, which compromises of Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, was recently on the island working on a project.

The duo was were at Buju Banton’s Gargamel Studios in Kingston, reportedly working on a top-secret project.

Earlier this week speculations swirled that Buju and Pharrell were working on a project after he posted a photo to Instagram.

Buju got fans excited after he posted a snap with himself and the “Happy” singer locked in the studio. Many immediately begun to theorize that the project could be for Buju’s upcoming album which is due in April.

The project with the “Til Shiloh” singer was confirmed on Tuesday after Buju missed the Jamaica Reggae Industry Association Awards. Buju’s management team disclosed that the singer was unavailable due to being in studio with Pharrell.

However, it remains to be seen what the extent of the project could be or if any other Jamaican acts are involved.

The Neptunes have worked with several other Jamaican acts in the past including; Beenie Man, Lady Saw, and Sean Paul. Some of their tracks notable projects with Jamaicans include Feel it Boy, Boss Man, and Girls Dem Sugar Remix.

The Neptunes produced 24 Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 hits during the late 1990s and 2000s. In 2009, Billboard ranked them number one on its Top 10 Producers of The Decade.
