Majah Hype has been released on a 16,000 bail bond following his arrest in Cobb County, Georgia.

On Thursday the comedian was arrested arrested in Georgia for two felony counts of kidnapping, as well as simple battery and terroristic threats.

According to reports, the popular comedian, whose real name is Joseph Nigel Theron, was released at 1:24 am on Friday.

A copy of the charge sheet was released on Friday revealing details of the comedian’s booking. The document also shows that Theron was actually born in New York and not the Caribbean as he frequently claims.

The alleged victim in the case is Majah Hype’s ex-fiance Kirby, who had accused the star of abuse. The two were recently involved in a nasty split, which saw allegations of abuse and cheating throughout the relationship.

Last month the the former couple made headlines after airing their private affairs on social media. Theron has continually denied claims that he physically abused his ex-fiance despite heavy backlash.
