Foota Hype has appeared at a preliminary hearing at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Miami, Florida, on Thursday.
The Jamaican disc jock was arrested by ICE officials earlier this week after arriving at a port in Miami aboard the ‘Welcome To Jamrock’ cruise.
He is currently being detained at the Krome Service Processing Center, which is an immigration holding facility in Miami.
Foota Hype has reportedly secured legal representation and is set to appear in court next week for further review of his travel documents and admissibility status.
According to sources close to the entertainer, the matter remains very personal and is being dealt with internally claiming that the entertainer would be releasing a public statement in the near future.
The selector’s arrest has been confirmed by the Jamaican consulate in Miami, which has reportedly already paid him a visit.
On Saturday Foota Hype, whose real name is Oneil Ricardo Thomas, was arrested as soon as he disembarked the Welcome to Jamrock cruise ship in Florida.
