The Tropixs (Kingston, Jamaica) – Devin Di Dakta sent Dancehall fans into a frenzy on Monday after ‘transforming’ into a woman.
The Grammy-nominated entertainer raised eyebrows after he uploaded a photo wearing a dress and wig while drinking tea from a cup which read, “Insta Glam.”
Speaking with fans about the reason for him dressing up as a woman, Devin Di Dakta said, “Ain’t nothing wrong with transformation. Be CONFIDENT and do YOU!!!.”
“Always wanted to Share this side of me. Friday you’ll see. #OpenYourMind #CreateDontHate #DevinDiDakta,” he continued.
Social media users instantly chimed in on the photo, blasting the 2015 Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall winner. “You a bad bloodclawte artist, stop clown out yuhself and stay militant yute!,” one fan wrote.
“So a dis dancehall gone to? Fi get a hit yuh haffi a drop u standard?? Instead a do dis, find back some creative lyrics and a good producer weh nah do the hip hop/computerized crap.,” another one added.
