Is Mavado reigniting his beef with old rival Popcaan? Some fans seem to think so.

Mavado has dropped a gritty new single titled “Artillery,” and some fans think it is taking aim at Popcaan.

The Dancehall superstar has finally dropped the track after teasing it on his Instagram a few weeks ago. Since it’s release, fans have quickly deciphered its lyrics and they seem to think its aimed at the Unruly Boss.

The track, which is featured on Dj Frass’ High Rev Riddim immediately caught the ears of fans with its standout drum patterns. While much of Dancehall has now incorporated the now popular trap sound, Frass switches things up with a more Hip Hop drum kick.

In the track, Mavado launches a merciless lyrical assault, sending several warning shots to his enemies. “Walk with the AK till it favor me,” the deejay boldly spits in the track.

From the tone of the track, it is obvious the Gully Gad is in war mode, and fans say this was triggered by Popcaan.

Just a few weeks ago Popcaan sent tongues wagging after he shared a video clip trolling the Gully Gad.

The deejay took to Instagram to post a female party patron pretending to sleep during a Mavado track. However, she would quickly dump the act as soon as the disc jock switched to Popcaan’s “Family.”

“She don’t want to hear no f__kry😂😂😂 trouble,” Popcaan hilariously captioned the post.

The sly jab did not go unnoticed by fans, with many claiming it was a deliberate jab at Mavado.

Mavado’s latest single was released on Friday and is already creating waves on social media.
