It’s safe to say 2019 was a massive year for Daddy 1.

The Montego Bay-based deejay is basking in his success as he emerged as the breakout artiste of 2019.

It was a massive year for the 20-year-old deejay, who is part of the highly popular 6ix crew, charting numerous hits and dominating concerts.

According to Daddy 1, it was a very special year for him, as most of his dreams became a reality.

Although he surely experienced a lot of highs during his calendar year the deejay says he can’t pick just pick one favorite memory.

“All of them were memories of progress, memories that will be cherished and even as time goes by, the memories will always stay for as we all know, memories last for a lifetime,” he reflected.

Last year the deejay broke out unto the scene with his debut single “Out Here,” and quickly followed it up with hits such as “Anthem,” “Custom,” “Bro Gad,” and “Next Level.”

According to the young deejay, he has always wanted to be an entertainer and received the support of family and friends from an early age.

“My community and my family always gave me the support. I was beating desks in school and making rhythms. My family used to say, ‘you’re going to buss one day’, and people from the community told me the same thing. They all believed in me, so obviously I had to believe in myself,” Daddy1 said.

Daddy 1’s ascension to stardom was capped off with a glowing endorsement from Prime Minister Andrew Holness, who he has dubbed as one of his “Bro Gads.”
