A’Mari is giving women some valuable advice when it comes to domestic abuse.

The recently converted Christian singjay has offered her two cents on the upsurge of domestic violence in Jamaica.

“I can truly relate to this subject as I am a survivor of both physical and mental abuse. I’m calling on the women of Jamaica to make better choices in regards to intimate partners. Do not underestimate abuse or allow it to make you feel afraid or intimidated. Remember, abuse is not love; it is just another means of control,” she told The Jamaica Observer.

According to A’Mari, it is important for women to know their worth, and not allow anyone to damage their dignity or self-esteem.

The social media personality would go on to urge women who find themselves in this position to seek help.

“Leave toxic relationships, drop toxic lifestyle choices, free yourself,” A’Mari cautioned women.

Earlier this month A’Mari sent tongues wagging after declaring that she had become a Christian. The entertainer says she turned her life over to God after receiving a vision from the creator.
