According to Shelly-Ann Millwood, the mother of entertainer, Squash has been in police lock-up since August 8 and has yet to be released despite not being charged with any criminal offenses.

However, following his initial release the entertainer was picked up just two days later in St Ann and brought to the Freeport lock-up, where he has since remained,

The 27-year-old Dancehall superstar, whose real name is Andre Whittaker, was brought before a tribunal on August 30 in relation to his detention but no ruling was handed down in his matter.

According to Millwood, the situation has become increasingly difficult as the deejay is the sole breadwinner of the family and has been forced to miss over 14 contractual agreements since being locked up.

She revealed that deposits for several of these shows had to be returned, while countless others remain in limbo including a performance in Dubai.

Squash was previous detained for over four months earlier this year at the Freeport Police Station in Montego Bay under the state of emergency, before he was released in June without charge.
