Dancehall artist Shenseea and D’Angel have both shown their support for the LGBT community by adding the Pride Month’s official hashtag #loveislove to their social media platforms.
Both entertainers took to their Instagram account earlier this week rocking rainbow themed outfits and promoting messages of inclusion and reassurance for their fans from the LGBT community.
According to D’Angel she fully supports all her fans irrespective of their sexuality as she believes “love is love” and persons should be judged based upon their sexual preference.
Sheseea also expressed similar sentiments saying “A lot of my supporters been messaging me in concern about how I feel for them being a #ShenYeng and having a certain preference. I just wanna represent and tell y’all that your sexuality doesn’t matter to me. I love all y’all. #loveislove.”

The “Loodi” deejay was particularly praised for her vocal support by members of the WE-Change Organization, which is a women-led community aimed towards increasing the participation of LGBT and ally women in society.
According to organization director Nicolette Bryan, Shenseea deserves special praise as she she is making what could be considered a risky move by declaring her support at this particular time in her career.
The move is considered an important one by Bryan, as it perhaps suggests a shift in attitude towards the LGBT community from Dancehall acts who have traditionally remained very rigid in their stance.
