A settlement has finally been reached over the estate of veteran Sugar Minott following years of legal battles.

The settlement comes after 8 years of legal disputes among family members over the control of Reggae entertainer’s musical estate following his death back in 2010.

According to Maxine Stowe, the former wife of late reggae veteran, the entertainer did not leave a will delegating how profits from his estate should be shared between his family members which created a huge problem.

However, according to Stowe, a decision has been reached for her to work closely with  Minott’s daughter Pashon and other family members to ensure the entertainer’s musical legacy is preserved.

The settlement will see Stowe gaining access to Sugar Minott’s intellectual property, and his music.
