ZJ Sparks recently sat down with “The Fix” to speak on her drastic switch from corporate to a career in music.

The popular radio disc jock recently detailed her interesting career during an interview with the online podcast revealing that she was not always involved in media but actually started out managing a medical facility.

According to Sparks, or “Sparkie” as she is affectionately called, she actually started out working in management after completing her degree at the University Of The West Indies (U.W.I.), with her first job being in the British Virgin Islands.

The energetic female disc jock revealed that she has always been in love with radio but only got her break while attending the Edna Manley school of arts following a two and a half year stint in the British Virgin Islands.

She revealed that she started out at several media houses in a temporary capacity, including KLAS FM and FAME 95 FM before making the switch to Zip 103 which brought her national popularity.

The media practitioner went on to detail how she learned transitioned from being an announcer to actually mixing music as well, paying homage to fellow disc jocks such as Collin Hinds, DJ Nyron, and ZJ Liquid who helped her along the way.
