R&B stars Justine Skye and Giveon are the latest international celebrities to vacation in Jamaica for Christmas.
The two American singers took to Instagram to give fans an update of them enjoying their holidays in Jamaica. They were spotted at two popular spots in St Ann, Yaaman Adventure Park and Dolphin Cove.
“Dolphin Cove was amazing. The animals there were all so beautiful, especially the dolphins and the birds. Getting to swim with the dolphins with my loved ones was such an experience. They’re so sweet,” Skye in an interview with The Observer.
On Christmas day Skye took to Instagram to share a pic of herself on the beach in a red bikini. ” Merry Christmas! Hope you didn’t get stung by a sea urchin like I did 😂🎄🥰❤️,” she captioned the post.
The 25-year-old rapper does have some Jamaican roots, as her parents are Jamaican.
Skye first rose to prominence in 2013 when she released her EP Everyday Living, which peaked at number 44 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart and number 23 on the R&B Albums Chart.
The young star is currently working on an album with Timbaland’s Mosley Music Group after leaving Roc Nation.
“I’m getting ready to release the first single off my album that Timbaland produced. We started working on it and met for the first time during the pandemic. Due to the current state of the world, we had nothing but space and time to create this magic. That is also the title of the album,” said Skye.
Giveon, whose real name Giveon Dezmann Evans, is from Long Beach, California.
He is best known for his appearance on Drake’s Chicago Freestyle which was released earlier this year. The track peaked at number 10 in the United Kingdom and has been certified silver for sales of more than 200,000 units.
