Vybz Kartel Names The Next Big Thing In Dancehall

Vybz Kartel has officially declared the next big thing in Dancehall music coming from his Gaza Nation camp.

The incarcerated Dancehall superstar recently endorsed recording artiste Sikka Rymes on Instagram. “Sikka Rhymes. Watch out fi him GAZANATION . #SikkaRhymes from di Gaza #UpMove #GAZANATION,” he wrote to his over 300,000 followers.

Rhymes is currently the right-hand man to the ‘Fever’ deejay and is responsible for all the high-profile visits Vybz Kartel has received since serving his life sentence for the murder of Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams.

In the last few months, Sikka Rymes who is the cousin of former Gaza member Shawn Storm gave Dancehall artistes Tommy Lee Sparta, Ishanwa and Sean Kingston the green light to visit the ‘Worl Boss’ at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre, more popularly known as GP.

Beenie Man Says Vybz Kartel Wants To Be Like Him

Speaking on the endorsement, Sikka says he has been getting ready to take the music industry by storm for quite some time now, but Vybz Kartel giving him a shoutout was the extra motivation he needed.

“My style as an artiste is different and that’s why the Teacha say wah him say. I’m coming to bring a new thing to dancehall, a new flavour from a new face,” he said. “I’m hard-working and I’ve always been that way; but when me see the post, it make me wah work 100 times harder. Me feel good and me a tell the whole world about it [the endorsement]. Now that it’s out there that him [Kartel] a expect big things from me, I can’t put out anything less than the best, and so I’m going to continue putting in the work,” he added.
