Vybz Kartel rolls out “World Government” music video.
The Dancehall superstar dropped the visuals for his latest banger, “World Government,” and it already turning heads.
The video, which is directed by Wikid Media, is dominated by a heavy political tone. It sees a hypothetical scenario of Vybz Kartel running for Prime Minister.
Fans have frequently toyed around with the idea of Vybz Kartel being the leader of a nation and the brings the image to life in this track.
Throughout the track, the “Worl Boss” paints a vivid image of what Jamaica would look like under his rule.
“World Boss step ina parliament/Every ghetto yute a get a house and a Benz / Child molester dem a get a rope and a heng / Juvenile nuh sleep a road we a put up all a dem / Set up the elderly dem is di root not the stem / Black woman a mek money like di day nah no end / Education it afi free nah fi spen / Nuh crime nuh gwaan again mi link di shotta dem,” he spits.
The video features several cameos from his proteges, including Lisa Hyper and Sikka Rhymes, who portrays the entertainer.
The visuals portray an actual election, with Vybz Kartel winning with overwhelming support.
“Wah yu vote? World Boss! World Boss!/Everybody happy all who a chop grass/Wah yu vote? World Boss! World Boss!/Landslide victory brat,” Kartel sings in the Chorus.
Although the track is hypothetical in nature, many fans say it is not actually that far fetched. Over the years Vybz Kartel has remained one of the most influential figures Jamaica has ever seen.
The music video has already racked up over 877,000 views on Youtube. It was released just one day before the entertainer’s birthday on January 7, 2020.
