The Dancehall community is mourning the death of veteran dancer Labba Labba.

Labba Labba, 75, passed away on Sunday, July 5 at his home in Trench Town, St. Andrew following a long-standing illness.

Details around the exact illness that claimed the life of the dancehall veteran is still unclear.

During his heyday, Labba Labba has toured several countries showcasing his dance moves. He worked with entertainers Elephant Man and Beenie Man, and fellow Black Roses Crew dancers John Hype and Ice. He was also a well-known companion of dancer Gerald Levy, also known as Bogle, Mr. Bogle, Father Bogle, or Mr. Wacky. Bogle was murdered on January 20, 2005.
