Vendetta Fans Upset as Alkaline Failed To Win Several Awards At YVAs

Fans of Dancehall artiste Alkaline are upset after the Vendetta deejay’s low Award tally at the 2017 Youth View Awards (YVAs).

The “Champion Boy” deejay had the most nominations this year going into the show after securing ten nods however only won two awards. Many fans have since labelled the award show as biased with many claiming the voting process is rigged.

These views were recently shared by Alkaline fans back in November 2016 when his rival Popcaan won the Mobo Award for Best Reggae Act for the second consecutive year.

Meanwhile, Alkaline’s longtime rival Vybz Kartel won five awards on Saturday night including; Favorite Dancehall Artiste, Favorite local artiste, Best Collaboration, Best summer song and Top Chart Topping Song, he was nominated in seven categories.
